Updated 2013 VA Aid & Attendance Benefit Rates

The VA recently announced that as of January 1, 2013 Veterans who are eligible for non-service connected pensions at the maximum rate will receive an increase in their benefit.  This includes Veterans receiving Base Pension, Housebound Benefits, or Pension plus Aid & Attendance.  The updated 2013 VA Pension benefit rates are listed below.

2013 Maximum Rates for Base Pension

Single Veteran – $1,038.75 per month or $$12,465 per year

Married Veteran – $1,360.33/month or $16,324 per year

2013 Maximum Rate for Housebound Benefit

Single Veteran – $1,269.41 per month or $15,233 per year

Married Veteran – $1,591.08 per month or $19,093 per year

2013 Maximum Rate for Pension plus Aid & Attendance

Single Veteran – $1,732.91 per month or $20,795 per year

Married Veteran – $2,054.33 per month or $24,652 per year

As of the date of this post the VA has not released the updated 2013 benefit amounts for Widows of Veterans.
